Step 1: Before you start, ensure that the negative cable of the car's battery is removed. Always observe this safety precaution when working with electrical components.

Step 2: Next, consult your vehicle's owner's manual to find out where the camshaft sensor is located in your system. Once you've located it, remove it by taking out the wires that connect the component to the camshaft.

Step 3: Once you're done unwiring it, use a screwdriver to remove the screws that secure the sensor in place. After that, take the sensor out and place it on a clean rag.

Step 4: Next, spray some aerosol solvent on the camshaft position sensor and then use a new rag to wipe it dry.

Step 5: Lastly, reattach the sensor and hook it back to the wires that you disconnected earlier. Observe if you still have the same problems because this signals that you already need to buy a new sensor.
